Public libraries open 6 days a week and they close on Mondays biweekly. You can use another library nearby when their regular library is closed. All libraries operate their reading rooms from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. each day for students and citizens to read and study. Kid’s rooms, book rooms and other reading material rooms are usually closed at 6:00 p.m. between March and October and at 5:00 p.m. between November and February

New coming – Daegu Gosan Library

One more public library will come. Daegu Gosan Library had ground-breaking ceremony on 28th of February, 2014. The design of this library was born to ‘Daegu Gosan Public Library International Contest’ result. This contest was part of 2012 Daegu Architectural Culture Biennale and the winner was Gorka Blas, Spanish architect.

In consideration of the place of the library is surrounded by market, the first floor has open view. This plan has the purpose that citizens and kids can easily access to the library and build an active relationship. I am expecting the unique and friendly library will open soon.
